There are many varietys of this camera. This one with uncoated lens is from prewar production. Although camera is not rare it is valuated both by collectors and users. My personal opinion is that this is perfectly usable camera until today and I use it sometimes when exist possibility that I will need take some medium format pictures but do not want transport anything large. It is one of the smallest medium format cameras ever made and therefore you can transport it easily.You ask if lens is in fact Heliar if name ring is lost? I guarantee with my good name. Although all 3 lenses (Voigtar, Scopar Heliar) have just 3 groups (with 3, 4 or 5 elements but they are molded in housing so you can not see them from side and count). First indication is practically mostly Heliar was used in Compur Rapid, Voigtar never. But shape and thickness of lens is not identical. For example Scopar has deepest the front glas positioned, this is visibleclearly.Helliar less andVoigtar even less - but here is difference small and you need direct compare. Most visible are shape and thickness of rear element.Scopar and Voigtar have on rearglass rim usually prefix.Even if serial no on rearis without S by Scopar, it is always on innder side (Heliar never has serial No there, always outside and I never saw it with prefix). Voigtar has prefix V, wide capture ring and very thin glass, it is \"palpable\" without any difficulity. I repeat - I guarantee - it has thick glass so it it is Heliar. Name ring can be changed to falsify, but not lens construction. If you do not trust me, why to buy something from me? And if you trust me than you can be complacent that it is Heliar.I decided trust community and offer this camera with start bellow 1 buck. I hopein some offerding:)Description:Without ser. Camera is in fully working order.We are repairing, overhauling, cleaning and lubricating every camera, lens, binocular, microscope ... to restore its original functionality as much as possible. However we are not disassembling it completely and clean every part in ultrasonic cleaner separately if not necessary. If I am not satisfied how something works - considering item age and construction - I will write about it in description. You do not need ask me if it works, we did everything possible to repair it, and I believe for some groups is our repair workshop between the most qualifying in world. Get it working better can only better repairman (or with better replacement part source).
