This necklace has a beautiful design and is an early example of Mexican silverwork. The links are fairly thin yet substantial and they are flat at the back so the necklace lays flush when worn. The design looks a bit floral - perhaps a poppy and is striking with a textural quality. There a few very shallow dimples to the tops of the domes but nothing significant or noticeable except on very close inspection. There are no signs of solder or repair and very little surface wear so the patina is bright and fresh looking. Overall this is a finely made and striking, sterling silver necklace, that was made in Mexico during the 1940s that is in Excellent condition.
