These are some of the coolest lithos I have ever seen! They are die cut, punch outs that were made in the 1940\'s by Trimz, to be added to furniture, walls, or wherever you needed \"a spot of color\". They originally had glue on the back and were self-adhesive, but I don\'t believe the glue is still viable. However, any non-acidic glue would work fine. They are amazing - they truly look hand painted! They would be fabulous for cards and scrap booking, or for all kinds of arts and crafts, or even as they were originally intended. This package contains one sheet with two punch out bunnies and a punch out group of little lambs - great for Easter. The page measures 7 3/4\" x 6 1/4\". The punch outs are on brown paper. The individual pieces measure 3 3/4\" tall for the bunnies and 3\" across. The lambs are 3 3/4\" tall by 5 1/2\" wide. I have shown a photo of the piece from the back so you can get an idea of the shape of the piece when it\'s punched out. The punch outs have no flaws - no creases or issues, other than coming loose from the backing, or a small piece of missing backing.
They come in their original glassine envelope that has directions on the back, and an insert sheet with information as well. The glassine envelope (glassine is a waxed translucent tissue type paper used before cellophane and plastic bags) has tears along the seams. The bag is open - it was never sealed. The original instructions say to dip it in water and then apply, but I don\'t believe I would. I think it might disintegrate if you get it wet. It would be fine just to glue to a surface, however. The instructions also say if adding to a surface subject to wear, such as a tabletop, to add a coat of lacquer.
These are really wonderful pieces... quite rare and great fun! I have others - flowers, some strawberries and an old sailor and two women who look a bit Dutch.
