It is about 1\" from the center section. If you run your fingernail over it feels like a little chip, also saw few tiny bubbles in glass and one teeny dark speck inside the glass. I took several photos, some up close or magnified so you can see the flaw. Don\'t see any surface scratches in normal light but when in sun and turned sideways I see some surface scratches. This is a tri mold piece and the color is stunning! Great for the upcoming holidays or your collection. (Christmas is five months away!)
