DESCRIPTION: This monumental piece is beautifullythrown with a voluminous interior. Thelatter is decorated with a vibrant array of eight of Washington Ledesma’strademark primordial creatures in glossy pastel tones set against a silky blackbackground. Two are human, three arefish, two are amphibious, and one is a human/amphibious mix. The rim is a warm reddish brown that nicelyframes the artful depictions within its borders. (The potter left the underside of the bowlunglazed.)

This gorgeous work measures 16” in diameter andstands 2” tall at the rim. It is in mintcondition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and is signed and dated (1987) on thebottom.
