WATERMAN 3 FOUNTAIN PEN 1930s, STEEL QUARTZ, EXTRA FLEX NIB, RESTORED
Price: US $334.99

Waterman 3 fountain pen circa 1930s in steel quartz celluloid and chrome trim. This is the celluloid successor to the workhorse Waterman 52, with a Waterman #2 nib.

Beautiful pen with nice bright color and glossy plastic.

The nib is fine to medium, and gets quite wide with pressure. It\'s moderately soft, requiring some pressure for the tines to spread, so not a wet noodle. The line contrast is quite significant, and the pen is lots of fun to use. It\'s good for everyday, but is also capable of pointed-pen calligraphy styles like copperplate or spencerian. See the writing samples.

Lever filler, restored and working with a new sac installed. Length is about 5 1/16 inches.

ITEM 3066

The writing samples are made using the pen itself, dipped in Waterman \'Intense Black\' ink. The paper is a Rhodia pad with 5mm squares.
