14K Gold Flex Nib

Top-quality American-made hard rubber lever-filler from the mid-1920s, nickel trim, 13.6 cm long closed, clipless model, factory original without clip. Fine condition, good imprints and chasing, no dings, cracks, or personalized engravings, hard rubber has been professionally reblackened. Nib is smooth and responsive, opens up wide with normal writing pressure.

We have over 25 years of experience in vintage pen restoration and tuning. Unless otherwise noted, our pens have been fully reconditioned and are ready to write. Authenticity is guaranteed.

Writing samples are on Rhodia paper with a 5mm grid. The samples are done with the actual pen listed, dipped in Quink blue-black ink. We will not exaggerate the safe range of flex: a nib that is regularly pushed to its limits may develop cracks within a matter of months or even weeks. Our samples are all done with a light touch, flexing the nib only to the degree that it can sustainin regular, long-term use.

vintagepens is run by David Nishimura, based in historic Providence, Rhode Island.
David has been buying, selling, and writing about old writing instruments since the late 1980s. He has been on since 1997, the same year he launched one of the first vintage pen collecting websites. David is an active pen history blogger, and a regular presence on pen collecting forums and social media, as well as at traditional pen shows.
