Waterman 52, 1920s, in black chased hard rubber and nickel trim. Clipless model, designed not to have a pocket clip.
The Waterman #2 nib is the kind I dream about. A special long-tined shape, very flexible, creating wide downstrokes with very little pressure. It goes from fine to extremely broad with very little effort. Take a look a the writing samples below. As you can see, it\'s got extraordinary range.
It would be great for sketching, or for any sort of pointed-pen-style calligraphy such as copperplate or spencerian. It would be good for any use, in other words, where easy transition to fat shadingis needed. With some discipline you could use it for everyday writing.
Very good condition with nice dark color, typical wear to chasing and imprints, name \'Judge Cooper\' in barrel.
Restored and working with a new sac installed. Length about 5 3/8 inches.
