Vintage Waterman Ideal Sterling Silver Fountain PenOld Waterman Ideal fountain pen finished in Sterling Silver. It is supplied with Waterman Ideal silver plated clip [with no. 3 on back].
Finish: Sterling Silver + black plastic
Length: 5 3/16 inches (132mm)
Imprint: \'\'Sterling\' at base of cap and \'Ideal\' on lever filler. May originally had \'Waterman\' at base of cap toobut surface is worn.
Nib: 14k gold marked \'Waterman 14CT, W-2A\' On back of nib \'Waterman\'s, Made in Canada\'CONDITION:As found - a couple of slight indentations, one at base of cap, the other near the front of the barrel. Some scratches at an angle to the pattern - perhaps caused by the removable clip. The two little holes on opposite sides the cap looks as though original to the pen but the one on the barrel may well have been added subsequently. Wear to the silver patterned cap and barrel ascan be seen. The pen has a black top to the cap - there is a small notch on this - see photo 12 below.Threads are good as is nib but pen is sold as seen - will surely need servicing. Supplied with removable Waterman\'s Ideal silver plated clip - note wear to silver plate exposing base metal beneath.
