WATERMAN PATRICIAN DESK SET \'ONYX\' 1920s-- BIG KEYHOLE NIB, FINE AND FLEXIBLE

RED HARD RUBBER SECTION FEED & TAPER, CORRECT BASE

Watermandesk set in \'onyx\' -- cream and red marble barrel, brick colored red hard rubber section, feed and taper. Large size desk pen with 7-sized keyhole nib.

The nib is fine and flexible, capable of pointed pen calligraphy styles like copperplate or spencerian, yet good for everyday use too.

Excellent condition with nice clear imprint and excellent trim, great color to the brick hard rubber.

The base is the correct mottled red and cream color. The gold wash socket shows some wear. Correct Waterman sticker on the bottom. Original green felt shows wear around edges.

The pen is restored and working with a new sac installed. The pen is about 8 inches long total; the heavy marble base is about 6 inches by 4 inches.

A hard to find example of a large size Waterman desk set. Really nice.

The writing samples are made using the pen itself, dipped inParker Quink blackink.The paper is a Rhodia pad with 5mm squares.
