This \"Pink\" nib has been in my parts collection for too long, and deserves to be in the hands of someone who can make it sing. It\'s near mint, with no wear that I can see. See the high magnification pictures of the nib surfaces and iridium. They also show the remarkable workmanship, with the tines varying in thickness to allow maximum flexibility due to thinness at the center, but then stability due to slightly greater thickness near the tip. As you probably know if you are reading this listing, this nib was designed to be the perfect extra fine and extra flexible nib for copperplate style writing.This nib originally would have been installed in a Waterman 7 ripple pen, which is exactly the same size as the slightly earlier Waterman 55. To put this nib to good use, I\'ve installed it in a Waterman 55 black chased hard rubber pen that is in excellent shape except for slight oxidation and wear of the pen body. I installed a new ink bladder, and adjusted the feed to fit the nib snugly for even ink flow. This unassuming pen body is great stealth for the high performance nib.I tested it after I assembled the pen. As you can see from my scribbles, I am not good at writing, but hopefully you can see the great performance of this nib, going from a superfine line to a thick flourish. As an extra-fine nib (super-fine by modern fountain pen standards) note that the emphasis is on performance, and the nib may feel slightly scratchy unless you are using good paper, and you need experience using a flexible nib or you can easily damage it from pushing the wrong way.
