A RARE WATERMAN\'S NURSE\'S PEN,PENCIL & THERMOMETER SET IN GREAT CONDITION
These 1940\'s made sets are somewhat rare and most that are found suffer badly fromdiscolouring of the \'mother of pearl\' finish. This set however has very littlesigns of this. What colour change there is slight and this can be seen fromthe high resolution photographs provided. Cosmetically they are in goodorder with no cracks, chips, chew marks or discernible scratches.The gold plate throughout the set shows little evidence of anywear. The propelling pencil is in working order but thethermometer, although intact, no longer functions.All in all the set is in excellent condition.
The 14 ct gold W2 nib has a fine tip and a slight \'give\' to it.It can create a width of script that will vary from a fine0.4 mm up to a near double broad 1.2 mm, with pressureapplied . As it has been correctly set and smoothedit glides across the page and can produce somepleasing writing with some variability.
