- if your computer still runs windows and you're able to download and open a program you can use a software Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key make sure you write it down for your reinstallation
- if you're Windows cannot be loaded or not working properly you can take the hard drive out of your laptop somehow put in another computer either internal or external of the PC then run jellybean key finder on that computer within program load that hard drive in the program where you should retrieves your Product Key
- take it to a pc repair shop and ask them to scan the barcode. they may have one. The number may have worn away but the barcode should still be there. They will scan it and look up online
