Gustav Becker Clock Description

A famous and desirable clock maker Gustav Becker from the mid 1800\'s to early 1900\'s is responsible for this beautiful clock. A Vienna Regulator, it has his famous trademarks on it. It is a \"P24\" movement, serial number is #1828834, weight driven x2, the movement slides into place, wood holder with no locking mechanism. The door opens easily hinges in place and there are 2 metal things to adjust the back of the clock (one needs to be put back on). I love this clock and I purchased it to hang in my home. When I purchased it I , it run,and chimed when it was suppose to my home of course I took weights and pendulum off. When I got home and put pendulum back on the suspension spring, I broke the spring. No big deal, I\'ll just order a new one. I did and I broke the end of that one while trying to put the pendulum back in. Well I knew enough not to fool with it anymore. For as much as I researched this clock and knowing it worked minutes prior to it not working, I decided to sell it and try and recoup some of my investment. I purchased a working clock, and I am selling one that the pendulum has nothing to hang on. Having said all that, please email me with any questions you may have, again, I really know nothing about antique clocks, but I will try and answer as best I can or take extra photos. When looking inside the mechanism, it appeared everything that is suppose to be there is, (except the suspension spring) when I compared it to photo\'s on line. I can\'t believe it won\'t work when someone (who knows what they are doing) puts a new spring in.

Condition

I will try very hard to list any and all imperfections to this clock. The top trim is where TLC is needed. A side top molding is off, but in tack and simply needs glueing. For someone who knows woodworking and veneer I think it could be restored to it\'s original beauty. It is complete. The piece of wood just above the face has a split in the veneer. The inside bottom has some surface scratching, not deep but need stain or ???. The case itself, other than top front trim is beautiful, nothing is loose and it retains its originality. There are photos of all I am describing. The weights are less than perfect with scuff\'s and dings. The case needs polishing and has some scratches.. The rest of the clock is great, all glass is beveled and in tack with no damage whatsoever. It measures 48\" long and 17\" wide, and has so much of it\'s original elegance. I would consider this a great edition to any clock collector.

Shipping

Shipping will be Priority if the package is not too big, but I may have to ship it a different way due to size. Please don\'t pay attention to the shipping cost as I haven\'t packaged the clock yet, but I estimate it at about 40 lbs. Rest assured you will be charged only what it cost. I will pay for insurance. We never charge a \"Handling Fee\", only actual shipping. We package all items safely and carefully. Never a worry. Extra care will be taken with this clock.

Payment

Payment is required within 3 days, I prefer paypal, however checks can be used, they must clear my bank prior to shipment.
