This is a Wood Deck for the 1/350 Titanic kit as manufactured by Entex or Minicraft(The molds for this kit have changed over the years, but this set includes pieces to fit the OLD or NEW molds - so no matter what you have, this set WORKS!). Our decks are micro-thin (about the thickness of a heavy sheet of paper) and made of 100% real wood, backed with fleece to provide working strength. Our manufacturing process combines Inkjet Printing and Laser Cutting for extreme precision. Decks are intended to be cemented to plastic model with styrene cement, Contact Cement, or Epoxy. We do not provide a self-adhesive backing as our experience has shown that these can be problematic in positioning. With the thermal fleece backing, the glue has plenty of surface to bind to.

At the time it was introduced, this was the largest and most extensive ship deck thatscaledecks.com had ever offered. A new version of this deck now features 1-in-4 plank detail and fits on a single MASSIVE 12x24 inch sheet, and utilizes our new and improved higher contrast deck plank pattern! Deck components include all exposed external decks and crossover paths.

Decks are available ina "High Detail" fit. What this means is that if you are using aftermarket etched brass, you will be asked to replace plastic parts (such as the benches) with fine etched brass replacements. As a result, the holes where these items should have mounted should not be there - and with our HIGH DETAIL decks, those holes do not exist - and instead you have beautiful, uninterrupted planking.

Note that some of the other holes, such as for rigging tiedowns, are also eliminated. If you want those holes, you can always poke them through with a needle after the deck is mounted down. After all, it is much easier for the modeler to add a hole than it is for you to eliminate a hole - and at scaledecks.com we always try to make our decisions with the best options for the modeler in mind.

Our decks are incredibly thin, with very detailed printing of features. Our decks are backed with thermal fleece allowing you to use your choice of adhesives.

The Titanic used yellow pine for deck planking, and this sheet simulates the variety of colors present in a large stock of wood by varying the tint color from plank to plank to create an amazingly realistic scale effect.

Decks are precision measured and cut to 1/100 of an inch accuracy, and all of our decks are custom tested on actual plastic kits.
