A scarce WWI history of the battalion, which served as part of the 1st Division and earned battle credits for Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne. Contents include a detailed narrative description of the battalion\'s war efforts accompanied by numerous illustrations, lengthy appendixes including station list, officers roster, enlisted roster, organization, schematics, citations and commendations, honor roll, etc.The medals and decorations section is useful and contains the citations for the five awards of the D.S.C., a roster of the Croix de Guerre recipients, and citations for many Silver Star awards.An excellent battalion history fro the always popular \"Big Red One.\"Condition good. Cover soiled, discolored and with moderate edge and corner wear, tears and some loss at spine ends, inside generally VG, toned and with soft edge and corner wear, binding holding well.
