4 ¼” Face with a 4 bolt 5” mounting flange
Two nickel prongs protruding from bottom, possibly for attachment.MARKED The Bristol Co./ Waterbury, Conn.
William H. Bristol was born in Naugatuck in 1859.
William Bristol is credited with more than 100 patents, including a filled system temperature recorder in 1888,
a recording voltmeter in 1893, an electric pyrometer in 1900,
a thermocouple using a combination of nickel and a tungsten-iron alloy in 1904,
