Well illustrated with diagrams and technical drawings, it covers the methods and equipment used in moving the various heavy guns used by the artillery in the years leading up to the First World war. The drill instructions for moving 4.7in, 6in, 9.2in and many other guns are included.The book is stamped on the endpapers with the stamp of No. 7 Company Hampshire R.G.A. (Royal garrison Artillery).The book comes with several small, original 1917 newspaper cuttings. These include roll of honour listings and details of actions at Kut in the middle east. These were inside the book when I got it and I have left them in place (at p.28). I don\'t know their significance, but they were presumably put there by the original wartime owner of the book.

In very well-used but reasonably good condition. The cover is very worn, with signs of age and wear and a few marks. The endpapers are heavily worn and marked, with evidence of old water marks. The binding and hinges are worn but still secure.The text is good, with a few marks.The illustrations are in good condition.
