A First World War Officer\'s hunting cased military wristwatch. This has a very rare square solid silver case, the case measures 32mm x 32mm not including the crown & lugs, the front cover springs open when the button at 6 is pressed. (This is a genuine wristwatch & not a converted pocket watch). The front cover has engraved initials on it, the rear is smooth. It has the Londonimport silver marks for 1916 & the case makers mark SD. The dial is covered with a glass in a silver bezel. The black military style dial is excellent, the numbers & hands retain most of their luminous paint infill, although no longer active after nearly 100 years. The lever movement is marked SWISS MADE. It is running well & keeping good time.
