provenance) ....are usually the fake made-up fantastic pieces which proliferate \'s sales listings.100% original authentic WW2 vintage. NOT a fake or reproduction or fantastic made-up piece!
This the LAST PAGE from Eddie Sapinski\'s (F/2/502) photo album....none left!-ALL captions are (period) written in blue ink...NOT ballpoint pen! probably written
done immediately postwar. NOTE:
LAST & final page of Eddie S.\'s album offered....was stapled sealed inside a clearing plastic protective
covering....staples were removed to get close-up and clear digital images.
Some tearing of the page along the left edge occurred while trying to unhinge the WING\'s pinback catch.....the page
paper quality is the cheap newsprint type paper stock (seen exactly the same as on his photograph album pages).
there is already acid-contents discoloration....but is not yet completely brittle.US PARACHUTIST\'S QUALIFICATION WINGS SPECS:
-Sterling SOLIDBACK with horizontal pinback w/ working roller locking pinback clasp.
-\'STERLING\' in large letters in raised relief letters (see Bill Rentz\'s ref book)
-two COMBAT JUMP STARS mounted on wing\'s left-right flanks.
NOTE:
the MUSTARD STAINS are jeweler mounted onto of Trooper Wing\'s surface....
NOT drilled thru....and then soldered affixed on reverse as most of the FAKED solidback WINGS are constructed.
