WW2 OSS Jedburgh or OG Captain\'s Pinks and Greens Tunic, Uniform, SF wing
Price: US $577.89
For sale is a very rare and original 1941 dated US Army officers tunic to a Captain who saw European service with the OSS, likely either as a Jedburghor a member of an Operational Group (OG.)

The SF wing is in excellent condition and is of silk, cotton and bullion manufacture.

AirborneCommanddistinctive insignia (DI\'s)adorn the epaulets, they are not maker\'s marked.

The condition of this size 38Long tunic is in excellent condition for its age, with minor moth nips on back.

I acquired this from an WW2 SF collector in Washington State in 2004. When it comes to such rare and \"exotic\" uniforms, especially those associated with OSS or Airborne units, there always the collectors concern for post war \"put-togethers.\" Though unnamed, and with no provenance my opinion is firm that this is not a put-together. All insignia, light fading to uniform, oxidation of and wear to metal bits is consistent throughout, i.e.., nothing is shiny or looks new in comparison to rest of body of tunic, nor in relation to wear on cloth and metal insignia. The key point of the uniform, of course, is the SF wing. It is an outstanding example of the rare bullion variety and it is not a cheap Pakistani reproduction. Everything on this uniform has been there for many a decade and it goes without saying, nothing \"glows\" under UV inspection.
