This collection is very large collection belonging to a Gunner\'s history during WW2, from the day he enlisted to the day the war ended plus 1 year after the warthis collection is for
1365246 R. Duthie , enlisted as a Air Gunner, but became an instructor for over a year,finally seen action just after the start of D-day when he became a Air Gunner and Observer for the 502 Squadron
Flight log is a fantastic piece of history in very condition for its age,depictinghistory from 1941 when he listed to 1946 when his squadron were disbandedhis total flight hours for every mission was nearly 1000 hours using Halifax bombers and Oxford Bombersflight log contains some very interesting reading, various stories of being hit by lighting, also notes about being chased by enemy fighters and taking damagedalso bombing supply ships and taking flak damage from themalso mentions U-boats wrecked off the coast of Sweden.such a fascinating log bogalso contains wireless operations manual for air gunnersmap of Denmark and Norway coastlines, also a cloth map
