This sale is for a rare WWI 1911 Springfield \"folded bottom\" magazine. This type mag was used and produced by Springfield from 1914-1917. They can be identified by the mag body which extends beyond the base and folds over unlike the Colt example which were pinned. They can also be identified by the brass / bronze area on the back of the follower. A rare early accoutrement for the Colt / Springfield 1911 .45 collector. This mag is designed to hold 7 rds of .45 acp. !!
