WWII Army Air Corps Jacket Crusher Cap and Tie Grandfather\'s Uniform
Price: US $464.00
This is my Grandfather\'s uniform. He last used it sometime in the early to mid 40\'s. He was an Army Air Corps Flight instructor and transport pilot during WWII. When I was a kid he told us stories of flying every plane the US had at the time of his service. His favorite was the P-51 but he flew them all. Traveled all over the world delivering planes from New Zealand to Europe.
Condition of items: All items have been stored in a cedar chest and are in the same condition as my grandmother stored them in years ago. Band on the inside of the hat has some stitching that is coming loose along the bill of the hat. There is some tarnish on the insignia/ buttons but it is minimal. Worst of it should show in the pictures. My grandfather wrote his name on the underside of the bill of the crusher cap and \"6th F. G.\" for sixth flight group. Some wear from use such as the staining on the underside of the bill. Otherwise no rips tears or stains. Uniform is in excellent condition for its age.
