World War Two United States Army Air Corps officers grouping ided to Captain Darrell B. Teare who piloted The Drip Jr. a B 17 H The Big Drip Jr. He flew 35 missions from 22 Sep 1943 to 7 Nov 1945 with the 839th squadron of the 487th Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force stationed at Lavenham Suffolk England. The grouping is rather extensive and consists of the following items: pair of later war type dog tags on original chains; I\'d bracket named to him; four black and white pics if him and crew; two cards used to him showing he passed instrument flight tests one from Hobbs field other from Marfa field;immunization records;flight card;I\'d card named to him enlisted reserve corps;class 44 D graduation invite CD about the big drip junior ; ten A 2 leather flight jacket name tapes named to him felt AAC patch four original articles about him winning sir medals last one fifth oak leaf cluster;pilot flight log book not military issued type;tinsel bullion patch ; two different Cap eagles ;two AAC officer branch insignia ; pair of first lieutenant bars full sized pin back pilot wings shirt size pin back pilot wings; and sweetheart pilot wings; 366 haaf pin and book if matches from officers club AAC themed empty. Also with the grouping us an officers visor cap size narked 6 7/8. There is naker info for hat underneath sweatband but I just can\'t quite make it out. Damage to back of hat where wool is pulled thin but hard to see and easy to hide. The officers chocolate tunic has Brit made 8th Air Force patch on right shoulder; captains bar in each shoulder not matching pair; pair of officers us and AAC officer branch insignia on each color with works war two brass or sterling clutch backs present. There is a pin back Presidential unit citation above the right breast pocket. There us a full sized pin back pilot wing sterling marked on the back. The ribbons are distinguished flying cross; sir medal with five oak leaf clusters; american campaign; European African middle eastern campaign medal with one bronze battle star and world war two victory. The tunic has the belt and is in good shape except for one small sns mark in the lower front bit it really isn\'t anything.
