York \'Airflow\' Cornet

Forsale is a 1938 RAREYork Air Flow Cornet that needs restoration. This is a very, very desirable andcollectable cornet. I had a local repair shop inspect the horn in which the valves are ok and will repair thedents and solder joints, add a new waterkey nipple that’s missing all for$200-300.The finish is very tarnished and the engraving on bell is visible.Vintage case is included but not sure if it is the original. The mouth piece is a Vincent Bach Corp NewYork 10C. This example is one of the earliest unmarked “ Airflow” instruments manufactured in Grand Rapids,Michigan and only made for a couple of years. Serial number 120725indicates it was made in 1938 andonly 8 are know to have an earlier date.If you notice the bellflare has a reverse curl and the valves are set at a 45 degreeangle,with bell mounted on the right side of valve cluster.Cutelittle horn ... every collection should have one (horn-u-copia site lists about 40 York Airflow trumpet/cornets known inexistence).
