A very nice Super Ikonta B. 8cm F2.8 Tessar lens that is clear and sharp. Body is way above average with usual Zeiss bumps. This is a very pretty camera. Shutter sticks at slowest speeds but I used this camera a lot. Exceptional lens for B&W but still pretty good for color. Sharp but a little low contrast as is the norm for a 80 year old lens. This the high point of German camera technology in the 30s. Complex and way over engineered which makes it just fun to use Pretty enough for display but I hope you use it like I did. Complete with no missing parts. Camera spaces frames well. USE THIS CAMERA!!!

People have asked again and again if this lens is \"usable\" and let me stress that I used this camera often and was always pleased with the results. It is a lens that is designed for BW but does OK for color...I often shot color negs and then scanned the negs because it was easier than developing Black and White. There is no haze that I can see nor did I notice any when taking photos but I will say that this probably an 83 year old camera so there might some. The only problem that I had with the camera is that the slow speeds, as noted above, do not work as they should. This is a complicated lens/shutter combo and my camera repair person is 87 and he said he didn\'t want to do the job. He has earned that right, I guess. I am sad to see this go, but I have those Swedish hunks of metal and glass that don\'t get used enough and I am trying to slim down my collection. I listed 13 camera this week---take a look! I expect to have lots more weeks of 13 or more cameras listed as I sort through this mess (I mean collection).
