Offered in this sale todayis this nice find in AllOriginal conditionbeautiful ZENITHnot often found here from a large local radio sale! This is an\"Atomic age\"Retroall tube radio and yes is working and very nice deep tones.The gorgeousSalmon orange/coral colorCabinet and chassis are allFactory originalZ-508Ymfgc-1950s.
This is anAtomic Agegreatlooking and workingradio.This was well cared for,with little age wear only on the brass emblem and knob inserts have slight tarnish,that is it.
I have yet to find this model without hairlines and light surface veiningfrom years of use,the facade on this set has perfect original factory colored plastic,the best i have seen if you can find this model in this color(very obscure) rare find,, these cabinets were mostly made in maroon color and often loaded with hairlines,scratched,chipped and faded from use!!
One of thecoolestlooking compact sets in this conditionand hard to find Atomic age 50sdesignswith the large facade & grill area with original controls,and & logo!There is no fading on the dial station numbers, a very common issue on these models however not on this one!! This one isworking strong asit did right from the factoryfor theavid purist \"Atomic\"radioenthusiastand collector that prefers originalUN-restoredsets.
This radio plays with strong cleanBIGsounding audio,nostatic,or hum,super selectivityfrom the 5tube designwith AM band only!.Retains all 5 tubes tested strong, the power cord has a little age stiffness and is safe for use. The chassis is a full metal platform unlike many of this vintage with flimsy circuit boarddesigns. Ifyou value original condition workingobscure Atomic Age models from the 50sthis one is for you! Very hard to find model in this condition,especially in this color..Fully tested and awaiting a new home or office!
