Geoff, my guess is you probably have been running Windows a long time there and ... A good cleaning should remove all those errors.
I've been supporting Windows since 3.1 and many techs don't know how to massage Windows and keep it running smoothly.
Considering I just bought this computer and re-formatted and re-installed Windows last week, I think it should work properly. Even Windows isn't THAT bad!

Been using Windows since 3.1 -- which was better than 95, let me tell you! 98SE improved on it, but XP has been pretty good in general compared to the rest.
