Some users unable to send PMs in 5.45c #101962

Hey folks,

I'm the server administrator, and helped one of my clients move her UBB 5.45c installation over to our servers. Things seem to be working okay, but some users are reporting that they cannot send PMs to other users.

When attempting to send the message, they get an Internal Server Error. This is while using privatesend.cgi

Is there some known problem in this area? The users are reporting that this problem happens most often with users who have more than one account. Accounts look pretty unique to me, so I'm not sure why this would be an issue.

Thanks for any assistance. At worst, we'll open a trouble ticket I guess. Fortunately she has a license for the product. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks,
Jason

UBB5 had no PM feature - that's a hack...

Why is it that I always figure out a problem right after posting to the official forum? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It seems that though the permissions for the private/ directory were correct, the files therein were owned by the client's username (instead of the "nobody" user under which the cgis run). Chowning them to nobody.nobody did the trick.
