UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.classic UBB.classic 5 Support Members Lost after Prune

I did a prune of all forums in my UBB (those older than 180 days). This was AFTER I realized I had run out of disk space (and the problems it would cause). I then did a "remove dead HTML files", and a "rebuild member list" hoping that would help...also reindexed, updated threads, etc. no help.

Now, after reading these forums, I'm a day late and a dollar short. Can you help?

Here is the crux:

I cannot re-register and do the .cgi "fix" by manually adding myself as an admin...I am not recognized as a user, and have lost all my members (800+). I do still see all my member.cgi files in the members directory, I have deleted all "0" byte files in the members directory and the non-cgi directory, but can't get in as an admin, and can't register...what, if anything, can I do?

My UBB version is 5.45a.

All was working fine until I ran out of space, didn't check here first (because I hadn't realized I ran out of space...) and all, it seems, is lost. I am over my 1 year limit for the "members area" so the beta rebuilder is of no help either...any ideas, suggestions, or advice??

If you have adminified yourself and the rebuild script is *NOT* working, then I would advise opening a support ticket. Infopop would need to inspect the damage. They might lend you the rebuild script. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I believe I will simply buy a non-expiring license (is this "lifetime" access to the members area?). I have a support ticket pending requesting they send me the "member files rebuild script". Thanks for the help.

The "non-expiring" license's members area access still terminates after one year. There's no need to purchase an additional license, you already have one. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Infopop graciously(sp) sent me the 'rebuild members' script, however it seems to require that I close my UBB before I can execute it...since I can't log in as an admin, nor upload another .cgi as an admin, I can't use the file...any help, from anyone, is welcomed...would re-installing the UBB correct the problem, and same my members files? Or, should I download all 830 members.cgi files, and restore after re-intalling...is there a simple solution? Needless to say, my UBB is a KEY to my site, and I'll purchase the 1 year access, but I would like to salvage my forums...thanks for any input.

Submit another trouble ticket to Infopop and ask them to take a look at your site to see what the damage is and what needs to be done.

My forums are working now, I bought another year of access to the member's area, but I lost all my members...over 800. I have a notice that all members will have to reregister, and I still have all my forums/threads...and my "old members"...any way to add the "old members" to the newest version (5.47e)? I'll be upgrading to UBB 6.0 when it goes final...
