They are listed in numeric order. I just happen to be the first to register after Rick wink

I've already cast my vote for a Super/Global Moderator smile

So Super Global was only an idea, and not implemented yet?

As i go to make a "Superman Shield icon" lol...

---
Superglobal or (I dont know if its been done)
restrict access to control panel to various Admin only.
= Super global moderators now called Admin smile

Its a good idea to allow some kind of Super Global Moderators,
but its not a good idea to let them have any access
to the control panel.

I find that there is far too much or too easy
to give a moderator any kind of access to the control panel.
In my experiance its the webmasters that do all the
tweaking and updating so it becomes very personal
the control panel.
And to think that a Moderator, who can just about
manage to moderate any chance of going into a control
pannel and selecting Delete Catergory or Forum.
Begin deleting members.

Pesonally with respect to Moderators as valued as they are,
dont need access to any control pannel.
If they deserved that opertunity, i'm sure
you would call them Admin.

Present Moderators of this forum Excluded lol..

Wouldnt work for me?

From a General Category (No IQ Required)
to a Specified Catergory (IQ Required).

A Global Moderator to me is.
Admin with out any Control Panel Access.
(Easy)
And has to have a Globe as an icon lol...

Oh, I'd like a Super Moderator type of deal also.

But, I run a board that has very distinct areas. I'd like to be able to assign a moderator for an entire category of forums instead of having to set for each forum.

So, my suggestion was just an additional request smile

Regards,
Lee

I don't really see an outcry for "category moderators" (as you just said, they can be added on a per forum basis to 5-10 forums in a category); however a global moderator would basically be an admin over the forum who has little to no control panel access... someone you trust, but not enough wink...

I understand the difference, as my board runs with hacks to give moderators more privileges since they weren't able to make many sorts of changes to their sections (and added logging back in for any problems).

I have one section that is 17 forums, another 10 with what would be 11 more for 21 if subforms were in the product (currently split into a different sections).

It would be nice if I added a forum if I didn't have to go to each current moderator and add them again. These sections are fairly autonomous and are controlled by different sets of members. Admins aren't really involved in the day to day running and decisions so category moderators would filt the bill quite nicely.
