I was just trying to install the freeware version of the ubb software before i bought the actual copy, and when i was trying to set the chmods to 755, or 777, i noticed that when i tried to change one file, it changed every file in the directory, as well. will this cause a problem? or is it ok to continue installing?

thanks!

It sounds like you are using WS_FTP. The chmod screen does not show permissions of the files -- it shows what you last entered. Use the 'dirinfo' command to see the current permissions. You may have to refresh the view before you use it.
