I am installing UBB on Win 2000
I thought I had my permissions set properly (?) but I get this message when I submit the general settings information in the control panel:

You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

I changed permissions through ISM but am still missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. on any box other than the server I get:
Connection with the server was reset...

have you set your permissions acording to the install instructions? http://www.infopop.com/ubb_support/support_ubb_nt_perms.html

You need to set up the IUSR_ account perms.

I am assuming you mean in the properties of the directories themselves (my cgi directory and my non-cgi dir). If this is the case than, to my knowledge, I have done that as well but am still facing the same problem.??

There is a setting in the IIS control panel you may wish to check:

Properties -> Home Directory -> Execute Permissions (a combo box near the botrtom of the page)

Set it to "Scripts abd Executables"
