I suspect this question will take only an instant to answer, as I'm convinced this is a basic UBB feature for which I just can't find the Control Panel toggle for, but:

How do you enable the multi-page topic page links in the forum/topic view in UBB? That is:

Topic Name
Page: 1 2 3 4 5

It's a feature I see on many other boards, including this one, but I can't find where it's set. I'm "back" at version 5.4.4 - is it something that was added later?

I don't know about 5.44, but in the later versions in General Settings you would go to the Display Options section and there is a choice for Maximum Number of Posts Displayed Per Topic (HTML) Page - this choice has a dropdown list where you can select 15, 25, 30, 35 and so on # of posts per page.

Thanks! I'd found that setting, and it's always worked -- breaking topic threads down into separate pages...

What I'm looking for, however, is the display of those individual pages at the Forum View of all the topics within. Presently you have to go into the thread to see the page numbers at the top. But at most UBBs I've seen, when you go into a forum, the list of topics is similar to:

Question about CGI...
Pages: 1 2 3 4

Programming issues with perl
Pages: 1 2

Is this a hack? It seems like an integral part of other UBB setups, and I feel like I'm just missing something. Grr.

Check the version notes. I think what you are describing was added in 5.47.
