One of my users attempted to point an image in one of my forums using the following image tag command. I've X'ed out the domain as the picture isn't appropriate for this forum.

[img]http://xxx.xxx.xxx/_Secure/0QAAAAKwWdu82eU6o6xgr!X84GBjOX7xqjb0ycD7l!kONuhz1!WNCAr2cPH1eCJySZ9PJ0tab1Sd2ZwTmbg!Dn8IiQZOwZ9hJbwBnAGkAbgA/yanacovawhitelingerie006.jpg[/i mg]

UBB automatically puts a space between the "i" and the "m" in the closing tag. No matter what you do, this particular string (URL) causes UBB to glitch and the image won't post. I've tried going back into the post to re-edit the image tags after it was posted but as soon as you save the message, UBB puts that space back in the closing tag.

There are 8-10 images in his post which use a similar URL that do this. Others work fine.

Not a big issue for me, but I was curious what in this URL was causing UBB to glitch.

Thanks.

Isn't it the string length that is too long?

UBB breaks up strings automatically when they reach a default of 180 chars (I believe). Increase that value in your control panel slightly if you get a lot of these images.

Perhaps a suggestion would be to have a new control panel setting for string length in tags that is seperate from normal text so we can get all the benefits of this feature.

If we could do that with the current system, we would be.

This is a known issue.
