Hi,

I used to have UBB running on my site, I had some problem with my hosting company becuase of the thing you will see bellow. Anyway, I stop my whole domain for about one year just becuase of the problem I had down. Now I tried to get my domain & site back again, but when I looked at the error log file I found I still will have the same problem!! and it is all because of something that is calling the ubb directory which it is now not exist on my site at all, this is making a huge load on the server.

So please tell me How should I stop this ??!!

OK -- I'm very puzzled. I see exactly what you mean. There are some very odd search queries coming in -- in the same second from *different* IP addresses.

is quite odd.

Is your site otherwise quite busy? Is there a chance that someone wants your site down? Unfortunately a 'Denial of Service' attack isn't hard to mount by flooding UBB with large numbers of requests -- like searches.

These are 404 'not found', of course. Is it possible your links are spread around the web and people keep clicking? Getting the referrer turned on in your log may help find these.

Are there other assessemnts of this error log?

Thank you for your reply, I'm like you puzzled of what is happening after one year the site was off!!

Not much very busy. As I said the domain (site) was cancled for one year, so all visitors went away and found other places to look at. Which means the site should not be very busy now.

I don't know maybe yes and maybe no, I have no idea. But if this is the cause is there any solution? or I have to consider this domain (site) is a dead?!!

Don't you think that the search queries in each second, for more than one time, are to much even if my liks are spread around the web!! it is something odd, not becuase my links are spread around the web

Can you post the URL to where your board used to be?

All of those errors are 404 - File Not Found... 404s can't cause a server load increase....

It is me again, I was hoping to geta solution from infopop and what to do. well my hosting company closed my site. this is what I got from them:

Note: I'm not using UBB anymore I stop using it in my site for more than one year.

I think but not sure, if you reinstall your old board at the same folders then close it from ur CP that will not give errors (404 133) at all...

Also you have to remove ur self from all search engines.

You've said it yourself - you haven't used a UBB on your site in over a year.

What does your problem have to do with the UBB?
