Apologies if this is an old bug that's been fixed...
After editing the censor word list on my BBS last night, today when a new post was added (replies were not affected) all the alphanumeric characters were stripped out of the subject and topic message. If the subject didn't include some sort of punctuation character then the topic couldn't be read except by guessing the URL
(no hypertext link because there's no subject).
I traced the problem to there being an extra space between two censor words. The form of my censor list is this:
"xxxx yyyy zzzz {aaaa} {bbbb} etc etc"
Two spaces between the "zzzz" word and the first curly bracket caused this problem. Once I removed the extra space the BBS was working fine again.
The instructions for entering censor words do not mention that exactly one space is required between entries.
