In the FAQ, under "Adding Signatures", it says:

Quote
Note: You may not use HTML in your signature file, but you may use UBB Code (except for the UBB Code Image tag).
It says that regardless of what you select in the CP; so even if you actually do allow images in signatures, in the FAQ it'll still say that you may not use the UBB Code Image tag (speaking of which, shouldn't it say "UBBCode™ Image tag? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ).

Yes it should, actually. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

This is NOT going to get fixed for the next release, but will be in 6.2.0 and perhaps a future maintenance 6.1.0 release.
