The UBB default for locked topics appears to be:
closed topic (read): yellockfolder.gif
closed topic (unread): redlockfolder.gif

but the Icon Legend shows: lock.gif

Is this correct?

I was going to switch the icon, but thought I'd check here first n case I'm missing something...

This is correct - the lock icon itself is used only in the icon legend at the bottom and in each topic near the closed wording at the top.
