Somehow an unregistered user is posting on my registered user only forums. How is this possible? I'VE searched our user index and the account isn't listed. T.I.A.

1. Please can you tell us what version you are using?
2. Check the forum settings for that forum
3. Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing?

If you have deleted any accounts, their posts will show up as Unregistered.

Brett,
1)I'm running version 6.1.0.3.
2)The forum settings look right. Anything in particular I'm looking for?
3)The member in question is jetskiier800.

Ron,
How is it possible to post in a registered only forum if the account is deleted? Doesn't deleting an account remove the registration priviledges?

The sample that you posted is dated in March. As Ron M mentioned, if you delete a member, they show up as "unregistered", but it does not delete their posts.

Understood. My question as to how the member was able to post still stands though? I have deleted several accounts (bannished members). Will they be able to post as 'unregistered members' now?? If so how do I prevent this??

If you've deleted the accounts, they won't be able to post any longer with that account. But their old posts will remain and show as "unregistered". They can, however, re-register under a new account and post.

If re-registering becomes a problem, you may want to look into banning emails, banning IPs, and possibly moderating registrations. (I believe Infopop has enhanced the documentation on these functions, see the Admin Guide for details)

They will not be able to post unless you allow unregistered to post. All existing posts remain, and they are marked as posted by an Unregistered.

I think they are asking if the posts are occuring now, or are from old posts made by users who once had access, but now are deleted. Old posts are showing up as unregistered, we can see that from your screenshot, but do you have a screenshot of a post that occured recently?

This is not a bug. The posts are old. You nuked their profiles. This is the designed behavior.

Do not post topic subjects in all-capitals.

We have a members only board so, to save confusion amongst members, we've changed the description "unregistered" to "Retired".
