I was just informed that images in signatures do not show up when receiving PMS. The users said it worked fine until I updated today to 6.6

Is this something new?

I was just going to report this myself.

the image tags aren't working, even when enabled in the Private Messages.

Had the same problem, not just with PMs but in newly updated topics also.

Solved it by going to:

Control Panel > Display Options > General > Primary > Topic Options

... then placing a tick in Allow Images in Signatures?

I had that checkmarked when I first installed to 6.6 ........ users are still complaining tho!

Sorry cybertic, you're absolutely right. The "fix" I mentioned above only works for topic posts, PMs still have a problem.

Depending on the private message settings, you cannot have IMG tags in the PM's.

Look at Primary Settings, Private Messages Tab

Enable UBBCode in PM's - Yes, Yes but no IMG, No

If you want to allow IMG tags, you must be set to YES on that option.

That's not the problem RON M, because I checked the Control Panel and it was on YES by default, and users have still been complaining.

Setting on our board is Yes, but img tags in signatures show [ I M G ] etc. instead of the image itself.

In 6.5.0, vars_display{AllowSignatureImage} had two possible values: "YES" and "no"

Note the case difference. When I coded the new control panel, the case difference was lost, so it became "yes" and "no"

It gets better.

UBBCode images are controlled in everything OTHER than the signatures by a toggle that is "ON" or "OFF"

This annoys me greatly.

The prep_for_edit and UBBCode subroutines have been updated to reflect reality and sanity. These changes will be present in Beta Release 2 or the final release, whichever comes first.

(For record-keeping, this is fixed in rv149)
