When I upgraded from 6.3.1 to 6.3.1.1 I got a message saying invalid octet, so I deleted posts and it worked fine. Now it is doing it again. Can someone tell me what the problem is?

I have also never had this problem and have been using and upgrading the board since the version 5 series, this mini-update was the only one that has given me any problems. Thoughts?

This is the error I receive when trying to access the board. I also cannot update the forum stat files because I get the same error.

An error has occurred:

NonCGIPath/Forum1/forum_thread_data_0000.cgi: Illegal octal digit at NonCGIPath/Forum1/forum_thread_data_0000.cgi line 14, at end of line
(Might be a runaway multi-line !! string starting on line 13)
syntax error at NonCGIPath/Forum1/forum_thread_data_0000.cgi line 14, near "q!00001219"
Illegal octal digit at NonCGIPath/Forum1/forum_thread_data_0000.cgi line 20, at end of line
(Might be a runaway multi-line !! string starting on line 19)

Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

And another thing, this only happens on two forums at the moment (out of 9). Last night it happened to DIFFERENT forums, and I had to clear out all of the posts to get it to work again. Now it is doing it today as well.

This issue is going to need to be looked at in detail. Please open a support ticket for further assistance. Thanks.

Please ask for me in the ticket. Thanks.

Done. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly, the forums are useless with this error...

Apparently something happened in this release. The problem I was having (the error Message above), was caused by a user having the name Krista/.

This was ruining the forums that she had topics in, and I couldn't do anything. If I edited her account, the forums still wouldn't take the change. I had to delete every post she had replied in.

She has been a member for quite some time, so apparently it is something within this release?

This will be fixed in the next release (currently 6.4.0, but possibly 6.3.1.2)
