I have set my Forums to display in Category only mode, because I have 101 Forums, otherwise they take 15 seconds to load, let alone the rest of the Website.

I have Recent Visitors enabled and all configured. I can get them to appear above the Category List, but when I change the setting to have them appear at the bottom of the page, under the Category List, they disappear altogether. If I have everything list the long way, ie all Categories and all Forums, the Recent Visitors appears where it should, at the bottom of the page under the Category List.

How can I get this to work properly please (it only seems to be on the front page of the Forums where it isn't working properly).

I already have a Support Ticket open for another problem relating to Poll Settings disappearing and Permissions self-changing, could this be related, or could this be a new problem, maybe something someone has had before? I couldn't find anything.

Good question. Since you can't kick them in the ass to get them to reply, I suggest opening another ticket, and another, and another, until someone gives you the support you need.

I’m not done yet Jimbo <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> yes I have a gold license membership and my support ticket has been open since Jan 17th, so any new ticket I open ought point to all the info on the original ticket, I’m not that mad because of the time, not really, not yet, there’s no point because Charles is working on it and I simply think its been overlooked because of the office move, just need him to look this way…

Ok, now the other thread which was meant to be in good humour and meant to catch attention to this thread, which is being ignored, has now been closed.

So enough fun now - I would like my ticket which is 3 months outstanding to be attended to please.

The best way to aggravate a customer, a well meaning customer and a long term customer, is to ignore them - this is no way to treat a gold license member.

Please do something about my ticket and please stop ignoring it and me.

Thanks Charles, I’ve done that. The old ticket was only just closed in the last day or so, but wasn’t resolved.

Although the ticket has been outstanding since Jan 17th, please do not let this ruin your Easter. I'm not that badly impatient that I can't wait another couple of days <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Last night I massacred my Forums and made some humungous changes… 49 Forums remaining (one page), (42 visible) (52 deleted). And I may ditch some more later - if they’re not used. The Forums are running a lot faster now, even opened out. I’m not getting any problems anywhere and when I changed a Forum name the Polling settings stayed put.

Unfortunately if anyone is going to turn up bugs (3 up to now) though peculiar and extreme use… its going to be me <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> so I’m sorry about that.

Your help and advice has been exceptional, I don’t know how you work it out when there’s a problem but you do, you must know the program back to front.
