I am interested in using UBBT as a technical support request/response facility. This would require that registered users be able to see ONLY their own posts.

Does anyone know whether this is possible in UBBT?

Thanks...

This isn't something that .threads has as an option. Due to the way the various pages are built it would require some pretty extensive modifications to get it working that way as well.

OK, Rick, will you add it to your wishlist? Just think -- someday you may be sitting around, having fixed the very last bug in UBBT and wondering what you could possibly do next. Hopefully you'll pull out THE WISHLIST!

Actually, I like the system Groupee uses to track and communicate tech support issues. I think Kate once told me that was some proprietary software they developed for the purpose. If UBBT7 can't do such a thing, do you know of any commercial products I could use for a threaded support request/response system?

TIA...

You could request a mod over at www.UBBDev.com, or hire a developer to do it for you (also at ubbdev)

How about using a Version 7 board for PMs only?

Easy enough, don't create any forums then all that is there is pm's and the userlist as your only "sections"....

And the userlist/online page/new users/etc could be hacked out so there's no reference to anyone else using the support system. Having the online page and the other perks viewable to admins would be very handy for this instance though.
