On a lot of boards I see the admin congratulating people on reaching say 1000 posts (or multiples of that). A lot of boards also give out small prizes to the 100,000th post in the forum's history and so on.

Wouldn't it be nice if the software could be set to remind us of certain milestones on the forum, making sure that we don't forget about them? The system would basically send the admin a PM/email every time a user crossed a set number of posts, and/or whenever the forum as a whole surpassed a certain number of total posts (including details of the author who made the milestone post).

It would be especially useful if the software could be set to send an automatic PM to someone after that person makes his 1000th post (or whatever value the admin chooses). Although this is a nice way to give loyal users a pat on the back, it's all too easy to forget to do this from time to time, especially on large boards.

I would definitely welcome a sort of admin's assistant in the CP to keep track of such events.
