The biggest complaint I'm getting at the moment is the fact that a new person doesn't know what to do when visiting a thread.

As it is now there is no link near the subject to click on to take someone to the login or register pages. And the links that ARE there are up in the area with the other links and are hard to see or find....

If there were a way to give a link to these pages if you're not logged in or not registered would be a lot better then not having anything at all....as it is now....

Where the links are for reply and edit are when you *ARE* logged in should be replaced with links to "LOGIN" and/or "REGISTER" when you *ARE NOT* logged in....IMHO

How could I make it go to the post screen for the post I want to create?

When you use the "REPLY" link to post when you're not loggen in you'll go to your Control Panel, instead of the screen to create your reply or new post.

Otherwise it's just what I need! Thanl You!

Ah, for that you need to use my Javascript Popup Login (that's the one I use in the Lounge - try it!). I haven't written the new instructions for that one yet ...

Yea I tried that one a while back but it doesn't work with 5.4.

There's a lot of new stuff in 5.4 compared to 5.09. If I knew more of what I was doing with w3t I'd help you convert your hacks. Scream is so far above my knowledge of Perl is not funny. His usage of absolute Perl like polymorphism, inhereitance and abstration and all that stuff is very advanced. I mean if you were to compare his code with other scripts, like WebBBS, you'd see a major difference.

I found a bug in your Ad Hock hack.

If you select "EDIT" to edit a post you get a "File Not Found" error.

Hum, the way it stands, you shouldn't even get an edit button if you're not logged in.
I can't help any further I'm afraid as I don't use this hack any more so I have no way to trouble-shoot it.

I have actually already upgraded all my hacks in my own copy of w3t 5.4 - I just haven't written them up for sharing yet.

Yes you can see it in action in Woody's Lounge.
It'll be a while before I get around to writing up any of the upgrades - I'm too busy doing new hacks.
