After the "Edit", "Reply", "Quote" buttons in the message display window, I'd love to see a "Previous", and "Next" link. When viewing messages in threaded mode, these buttons would cycle through the messages in date & context order. When viewing in flat mode, this would provide and anchor link to the bring the next message to the top of the screen.
Threaded mode is great but it's a bit of a pain to navigate long discussion threads as it means constant scrolling and eyeballing the nested list to see where you are. It's very easy to click the wrong link and display the wrong message. Then you have to back up, scroll down again, eyeball and click. Think about how useful a "next" and "previous" link would be. Phorum has this feature and it really helps cruise through threaded discussions.
