finally got upgraded to ubb 6.5.. Thank YOU..

Question: What determines/defines an ACTIVE TOPIC.. link found in upper right hand corner of the forum summary page...

Active topics are all topics that had posts in the last 24 hours.

Well, that is what i thought too.. but my active topics (link found at the top) are NOT the same as the topics in the past 24 hours (link found at the bottom) ..

check it out and see for yourself... That is why i made this inquiry here...

Currently this topic consists of 4 posts.

On the "Active topics" only links to whole topics are is listed.
In "posts in 24 hours" links to each and every single posts are listed.

I'm having a problem with Active Topics too. I've got threads that have more than just the original post and they are not showing up in Active Topics when there is a reply. There must be some other criteria to this.

Would someone from Infopop care to comment on this, I'm still struggling to see what the criteria is for an "active topic". Is it based of average number of posts per time?

Basically active topics just does a search. It searches for any topics that have had a reply in the past day. If they've had a reply then the topic itself will be displayed on the active topics result page. There is a bug in 6.5 with the ordering of the active topics, so they aren't ordered properly.

Amen, someone finally posted on this issue AFTER some thought was put into it...
