I'm considering changing my forum from Domain-A to Domain-B and get rid of Domain-A all together. If so, I'd like to do a new install of UBB6 on Domain-B, but transfer over the member files from Domain-A so no one has to re-register. Domain-A is still running 5.47, I haven't upgraded it yet. Would this be a problem?

Do you only want to transfer the members, or the posts and settings as well?

It is not recommended to upgrade and transfer at the same time, so you should first upgrade your 5.47 board to UBB6 and then do a new install of UBB6 on the new domain and transfer the Members directory from domain A to domain B.

Thanks. I only want to transfer the member files, not the posts. Looks like I have to take the long way about it. Well, the experience in both upgrading and the new install of ubb6 won't hurt me <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
